“Nina you will be a Mummy one day, I promise you, you will” Ian help her close “You haven’t ruined everything, Not yet Nina” Ian felt his collar move as he tensed, he watched her reaction carefully. “No, Shh. Calm down. I am fine, Just bruised up. Calm down” Ian moved his shirt to cover it up again. He kissed her forehead gently, rocking her. His pain was nothing compared to the emotional pain Nina was in.
“Ian…I won’t. You’ve already said before that kids aren’t your thing. I don’t want to have children with anyone else….” She trailed off. “I hurt you. I-I punched your chest…I’m an idiot!” She started hitting her head as tears flowed down her face. “I don’t think! I never think! I didn’t think that I’d get attached to the girls! Now I didn’t think about the state you’re in before hitting you! I ended up hurting you…I’m the bad one.” She got off his lap and ran into the bathroom. She locked the door. Looking at her reflection in the mirror, she screamed and punched the glass.
Ian winced, wiping his own tears away. He waited till Nina and the twins were almost silent, only hearing Nina cry. He got up carefully and opened the bedroom door quietly and sat down next to Nina. Ian pulled Nina onto his lap where she struggled and punched his chest hard but crying toke over her but Ian never let her go, he held her close. “Nina, shh, Please. Don’t punch my chest” Ian voice was strained but he was more concerned about Nina.
Nina punched at Ian’s chest until her sobs took over her whole body. She felt weak. Worthless. “My babies, Ian. I can’t keep them. I want to be a parent…to be called mummy. What have I done Ian? I’ve ruined everything.” She whispered between sobs and snuggled her face against Ian’s neck. She shook as she cried violently. The movement pushed Ian’s shirt collar down. Her head was resting against a bandage. Realisation of what she did hit her. “Oh god. Ian…I’m so sorry!” She looked at him and covered her mouth.
Ian winced and toke a step back, “You want me to leave?” Ian looked at her tears choking his throat. He toke a seat down on her sofa keeping his back to the twins. “Sort them out, I’m not leaving, Not till I know what the fuck is going on Nina” Ian didn’t yell, he didn’t want to anger her of reopen the stitches by yelling. Ian held his head in his hands.
Nina grit her teeth and dug her nails into her palms. “Leave me! What’s going on?! I’ve just had two little girls, that I’ve fallen in love with! And I can’t fucking keep them! Their dads don’t even know that they’re born.” Tears piled up in her eyes. “I can’t be the mother I want to be! I didn’t know I would feel like this before. That’s why I did it! Now whenever I look at them and remember that I have to give them up, my heart breaks!” She stormed into the bedroom, slamming the door. This left just her and the girls by themselves. She comforted them and eventually they calmed down. Nina slid down the wall and bawled into her knees.
“I said no” Ian toke a good look at her “What have I done wrong?!” Ian noticed there was no huge ass baby bump, Taking a wild guess Ian pushed her door open being careful of her but still being forceful enough to get in. All he could see were the cot’s with two babies inside, waking up from the disturbance of Ian’s entrance they started to cry. Ian started to walk over to the carefully.
“I don’t want you here!” She yelled. Nina watched him pushing past her. “Ian, no!” She ran in front of him and spread her arms out. “Go. Away.” She demanded. The brunette stayed in her protective stance. “Leave me and them alone! You’ve woken them up! Leave us alone so I can calm them down, for fucks sake.” She growled at him
What…. What have I done?
You’re not listening to me!

Ian made the taxi driver go faster, scared Nina hated him for getting angry. Paying the taxi and running up to Nina’s room. He was in pain but he had made sure his bandaged chest and arms were well hidden in his fully buttoned shirt, sleeves down why was not his ‘usual’ style. He didn’t need Nina to worry about him, his black eye and stitched up forehead were the least of his worries. Knocking on the door gently, he waited for Nina to open up.
Hearing the knock on the door, she growled and clenched her fists. She glanced over at the girls to make sure they were still asleep. Strolling towards the door, she opened it and stepped outside. “I told you to stay away!” She hissed. Anger seeped through her voice, but she was trying her best to be quiet. Disturbing the girls would simply ruin everything.
What is wrong with you?!
You! Stay the fuck away from me Ian.

Nina had been on edge for a while now. She had only been released from the hospital a few hours ago and her little girls had slept peacefully. They had only woken up to be fed and changed. Knowing Ian, she expected him to arrive at her door, no matter how much she protested. Nina worked out the best way to open the door, so that the babies’ cots wouldn’t be noticed. She planned to beg Ian to leave, maybe say a few harsh things to seal the deal. Hopefully he would forgive her in the end. She just wanted a little longer with the girls before someone found out.
Nina….
You dare come near my room and I will stop you.

Tough shit I’m five minutes away
Stay away from me!
